Hey all haven't been on much lately, but I was hoping someone would know this one.

My alternator is dying (bearings starting to chirp), I found a reman. 100 amp alternator from a 97 online here for 50 bucks. This should be just plug and play right? I'm going down to look at it tommorow but it is always nice to sure first. Thanks JD

Are they both 3.0L trucks? If so then you should be good to go! I just checked and they show the same part number for '97 and '01 3.0L engines.

 

well I lucked out the guy had a 4.0 and had bought a rebuilt for a 3.0 . I just picked it up and its good to go. I m heading out to pick up some plugs and a new battery. looks like a full afternoon.
