Annoying electrical problem

So my driver doors unlock and lock **** seems to just slowly died out. It uses to go up and down fast, then it went slower and slower and now barely moves at all. My passenger door one is starting to do the same exact thing. AND not to mention sometimes my passenger window wont go up or down. It feels like the left electrical side of the truck seems to be slow or not working. Sometimes when I hit unlock or lock while sitting in the truck, nothing happens until I move the key to on. Is there something in my ignition panel that's messing up? Also, my dome light doesn't work when the driver door opens if that has anything to do with it. Any help would be appreciate!

It would be nice to know what it took in case someone else runs into the same thing.

I guess its common for the actuators to slowly wear out and not function so I did the actuator fix from ford-forums(i think that was it). You have to wrap a small rectangle piece in aluminum foil. Fixes it right up! My driver door problem was a wire in the door I guess rubbed against the window guide and it cut the wire in half. Easy fix. And my passenger window problem was the switch was loose. The hardest thing was the actuator fix but a couple hours and reading up can do a lot!

i noticed the wiring in this truck has problems soon after i got it. When i get out of my trucjk and lock it up and shut the door only sometimes will the dome light go right out. Other times it will stay o n varryin g in times before it the safety current draw switch activates. my side mirrors only go up and down not left and right and driver side window wont go down. i have some long days of diagrams and a dmm to get this fixed

well the domelight is an easy fix...just spray some wd40 in the latch and open and close the door a few times...the domelight switch is in the latch and it sticks sometimes...drivers window sounds like a regulator is bad...idk what to tell you about the mirrors though...what year is your truck

Actually my side mirrors do it too. I've replaced the switch before and it quit but I got the switch from the junker and I think it went bad on one side again

mine is the 2001 4.0L SOHC 4x4, ya i printed off all the schematics and found that out about the switch. I'll try the wd40 hope thats the fix and it annoys me

You could try that or take your door panel off, reach in and take that switch out to clean it

its probably the same kinda set up or similar switches, and they go bad at this age idk electrical problems are so tricky to diagnose.
