HID's on when "brights on"
how could I get my single beam headlight HIDs to stay on even when the brights are "turned on"? I want to wire my 130w fogs, and eventually some long-ranges into the highs, and i dont want to burn out my ballasts by flipping thru them.
Also, for high watt off road lights, is it okay for them to turn them on and off? or is it bad for them, like for HID ballasts?

Ans as long as the off road lights are halogen, you can turn them on and off.

the only way to really do it is to get a "bright box" so it will keep the lows on as well as the highs (well in your case, just the lows). I wouldent put your off road lights on the multi switch you could burn it out, put it on an aux switch just to be on the safe side. My dayliters (100W) get the switch that came with them pretty hot i cant amagine adding them to my multi switch, especialy 130W's.
If you do get a bight box it will be a waste of money for what your trying to do... but it will work...
