A/C Problem

So I get ready to go home last night start up the truck and roll windows down (because I like it riding with them down) and turn the Heat on.. I notice the lights dim and idle decreases for a second like something just pulled a good amount of power from engine. Well thats wierd... Get home w/o heater because it's acting wierd and since it sounds like it might be the compressor kicking on, turn it to Max A/C and it keeps blowing hot air.... doesn't change.. great.. so it's stuck blowing hot and it's pulling power from the engine... anyone know what this is? Very inconveniant considering I just dropped $500 the last 2 weeks to fix the Suspension/Brake probs I was having... Searched, didn't find anything on this sorry if I missed something.. and thanks for reading.

Well... I'd just unplug the ac compressor for starters. Should be a little two wire plug somewhere on it.

That will at least rule out the compressor.
