Backup sensors woes

When I bought my 2014 ranger it had after market rear bumper installed with backup sensors. My problem/question is that the backup sensors will only activate when I press the brake pedal while I'm backing up. Can anyone help with this? I'm outside the US.

Yes, way outside of the US, lol

We only have 1983 to 2011 Rangers here, no 2014 so you must have a T6 Ranger which was never sold in North America

Google: Australian Ranger forums

They had the T6 models there and its in english

We did just get a version of the T6 here, same size, 2019 Ranger, but its not the same drive trains or electrics as the T6

Thanks Ron, yes it's a T6. I'll check the forums you suggested but I think I found the problem. Looks like the sensors were wired to the brake light instead of the reverse light, I'm changing my taillights to LED so I'll just fix it then.
