Annoying breeze by my feet!!
Early this last summer I decided to get an elecric brake controller installed (I knew I should have done this myself) by a truck accesory shop. Well I have been driving and always noticed a slight breeze by my feet. I never thought anything of it until today! I opened up the hood and found that they ran the wiring to the brake controller by removig the rubber grommet on my drivers side. It is the grommet that is right below the fuse relay box in the engine
compartment. What I want to do is make a small slit in the grommet so that my wire can slide into it. That way I can fit my grommet back into place. I rather have a grommet that has a slit in it (with the wire running in between) than one that is completely off. The only problem that I have is that the fuse relay box is in my way. Is there an easy way of removing this. I don't want to shock myself to death.

The problem I have is that I can't reach the grommet. The fuse relay box is in my way. I think I have to remove it. Also I guess no pic until I have a site host it. By the way telemaster1952 it was the truck accesory shop tucked away from 322 in chesterland. Its the one that always has the trailer out front advertising window tinting.

Step #1: Disconnect the positive side of the battery! Can't stress this enough for obvious reasons.
Step #2, look at the sides of the fuse box. There are two or three clips towards the outside of the vehicle. Simply pull them back and lift up. Once you get it you'll laugh how easy it is.
If you need pictures, I won't be home for another 8 or so hours. Sorry.
