Wiring Guru's....SPDT w/ LED wiring....

Alright, I have a SPDT (on-off-on) switch with 2 LED's in it to wire up some lights. It has 3 prongs on 1/2 the back and 4 prongs on the other half. I need a wiring diagram helping me wire this sucker up.....Anyone wanna help?

SPDT does not mean its on-off-on

what are you wanting to do with it? what functions? use both on positions for different lights? or what?

According to this it is:
http://shop.genuinedealz.com/Items/g...n%20Red%20lens

The light bar I am going to have on the BII has a light in each side. I want the switch to turn the left side on when it is one way, and turn the other side on when in the other position; center being both off.

I thought about that, but the factory wiring box that is with the lights has it wired this way; that is why I am doing it that way. It makes it easier to build my own switch panel like this!

The front and rear lights will be used 100x more than the side lights.

I was just throwing that out there, can't wait to see it in action. Are you gonna leave the 55 watt bulbs in there or upgrade?

Since they are new I am going to leave them in there (since the 8 in the front equal more watts than the 4 lights I have on there now anyways - 440w). And with the 13 lights on, it pulls 59.5A, I am also upgrading my alternator from the stock 75A to something around 150A+.

The 100w bulbs draw 97.5A when all 13 are on. I might upgrade the fronts only to the 100w bulbs in the future.

yea something like that, but the switch I have has 7 pins on the back of it. I would assume that some of them have something to do with the LED indicators in the switch.

that is because it is SPDT....

so when you throw it to the right you can turn on 2 different individual circuits

throw it to the right and it will turn on 2 other individual circuits.

that 7th pin is probably ground for the LED.

best way is to test it with your ohm setting on your meter. then you know the exact function of the switch

i check for continuity (sp?) (connectivity) between each pins when the switch is in each position
