Can alternator handle 7 daylighters

I have a 2004 ranger edge and already have 2 KC 100watt Daylighters on the front of my truck and was wondering if i could safely put 5 more on a roll bar that Im installing without frying something. I dont know the output of the alternator. I would also be running the regular headlights and foglights at same time. They are more for looks but i do plan on using them. Do you guys think i need a better alternator or would it be fine.

Ya get an optima battery for now. You will probubly have to get a new alternater eventually but it will be ok until the stock one dies, then you should get a bigger one to handle the lights.

Your alternator is 90 amps.

Thats amount of lighting requires about 60 amps.
Stock lighting is probably around 10 amps.
Blower motor, wipers, ignition system, stereo, electronic components, etc add onto it.

You're going to exceed 90 amps.

You can buffer it with a big **** battery but that is like putting a bandaid on an amputation and if let go long enough, you won't be able to start your truck one day. I would forget the big battery and buy the alternator. You should never rely on the battery to do anything so long as the engine is running.

i have more powerful lights then he can dream of with the 100W am drawing a **** load. just NEVER shut off the truck when they are all on and leave the truck on for a while afterwards to recharge the system with in a year your alt will start killing itself mine is. plan on getting a bigger alt with in a year. it wont be dead but it will be there. mine has just about had it. just a little longer i can milk it.

you will not blow your electrical system dont worry...

I have had no concerns from mine at all, I have 6 100w KC Daylighters. It handles it quite well, I leave the headlights off If I use them as the alternator starts to sing with headlights, fogs and all the others one, otherwise I am still putting out over 13 volts. Who needs headlights when you have 600 watts lighting up the road.
