Frame Differences

Anybody know if there are major differences between a 97 4wd 3.0L and 4.0L frame...or is the only significant frame difference just between the 2wd and 4wd frames?

i dont think there is any frame difference at all. maybe just motor mounts.
there shouldnt be to much, if any difference in the 2wd and 4wd frames either.

Sweetness. All I have found in the past is that the 2wd and 4wd have completely different engine cross members.

they might but it isnt something you could swap if you had both sitting next to each other...

I don't want to frankenstein a frame by swapping cross members, etc...that's why I'm asking.

frankenstein um interesting its not being they are swap able. i have replaced tons of crossmembers and they look factory after wards even on my 1929 Ford frame and my 1930 ford frame....
