Blower fan issue

I turned on my heat today and this buzzing sound starts coming from behind the glove compartment. The buzz increases as i increase the fan speed but the heat is good. I searched and found a similar problem that stated it is most likely some debris in there causing the sound. It stormed pretty good here yesterday and toda, high winds and lots of rain, so I'm thinking that could be the issue. Anyone think the fan or resistor could be going? Or should i just try to clean out the debris? Anyone also have instructions on getting in there. Never had mine apart and do not know where to begin. The wifeys car you accessed it from the passenger side under the glove box. I don't think that is the situation with the ranger.
Thanks

Go under the hood on the pass side and remove the four screws holding the blower motor to the plenum .

In this link you see the round blower motor and in the center of the pic is the resistor pack.

Had to remove my coolant/washer resevoir also but it was easy. Not much debris in in it but enough to make the noise. Our storm early this week must have blew some extra crap in there. Tried it afterwards and no noise. Thanks for the help!
