HID's??

I have an 07' ranger 4x4 and I was really wanting HID's for my headlights and foglights... where would I find these and what do I need to buy? Any links? What should I expect to pay? I know they're not legal but I called my police station and they don't care...

was 165 for the foglights too? or not? Do I have to pay double since I want the foglights and headlights or are the foglights cheaper?

the kits plug right in and the guy that i went threw i payed 180$ for my set for headlights and 180$ for foglights and they came with a special wire harness so they get the same amount off the battery

i have the 8K for both headlights and fogs and they look good. i have some pics ill try to put them up if i can find them.

the really blue one is when they warm up from being turned on and they do have a blue tint to them but i could not get my camera to get it

make sure there amed down and i passed inspection here in MASS cause mine has highbeam also so the guy was like well there aimed right and has highbeam so you are good and he said that he was going to get some for his truck also lol\

you will love the light deff with the $ compared to spending it on silverstars. and they do have kits for 99$ to but the cheaper the kit the more interferience threw your radio you will get. thats why i bought special balasts for that problem

THE 2 BOTTOM PICS ARE COMPARISON BETWEEN SILVERSTARS AND HID 8k's

IS it true or Myth that you have to have projectors to make them work. someone posted it in a thread I posted about them and I never got an answer. So please provide me with an answer and not bashing.

yes its true. I mean, you dont HAVE TO have projectors for them to work, but you wont get near the light output potiental of those in projectors...not only that, but you'll cause alot of glare for oncomming vehicles.

I have been looking at 6K lights and havent heard this from anyone but you? Sorry but I need proof all the samples on here that i have seen are not inside projectors and they look a helluva lot brighter than stock or even the Ultra's I am running now

YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE PROJECTORS TO HAVE HID'S!!! i have my headlights and foglights and i ordered a 9007 Bulb # for headlights and for the gogs i think it was a 9005? whatever my truck calls for.

so all u do is pick the bulb color, and pick the bulb # that you are going to be replacing with the hid's

the projectors make the glare of the hid have a cut off for light quality but you do not need the projector housing u can USE YOUR EXISTING HOUSING!! BEING A 9007 FOR ME.

i baught the kit from a guy on ebay.

his ebay account name is kassabian9898 i sent him a message that some people were interested in the Kits and maybe the Static interferance kit. i baught them for 180$ and i have no static. the cheeper 99$ pair i cant listen to my radio at all not even make out a word. especiay if you have an aftermarket headunit i would hightly reccomend it.

he also has a 2 year warrenty and is very friendly and helpfull.

just tell him that Nick/fordracer182 told you abut him so he can tell you what he has for you.

i also think that 10k are more harsh on the eyes and the white is a little easier for the eyes but brighter on the ground.

hids in a factory housing will cause excessive glare to those on the other end of the light. they will be a lil bright in output terms just because they do push more "power". but the higher you go in the kelvin scale, you less output you get, and the more color you get. yea can get kits with built in shields on the bulbs to help reduce the glare, but your still going to get it if you dont use a projector housing. they will give a cut off line in which it doesnt allow the light to get high enough to distract oncoming drivers. also the glass on the projector helps light output and concentration.

ive said this in every hid post. some people still dont believe the facts.

i hate these kits. its like the new fad. they are everywhere, and makes driving at night ridiculous. and every single forums has like 5 posts on where to get them everyday.
