Blue White remote wire to Power Amp. Question
I'm adding a power amp to my stereo. 93 Ranger XLT. I have a Question about the Blue White Remote wire for the Power Amp.
Do I splice into the blue white wire having both wires intact. Or do I just clip off the blue white remote wire from the adapter harness and just join it to the power amp. Hope I'm not confusing anybody. Example: https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.ran...f3ac097ea0.jpg |
So your 1993 had a Premium sound system with a remote amplifier
I have only ever seen a dark blue wire for the "logic mute" not a blue/white wire, but could be If you are not going to use Ford remote amp then just cut it, if you are using both then splice it |

Then 1993 Ranger ID won't help
You would need to post brand and model of radio you are using, so we would know what the blue/white wire is for |

You would need to post brand and model of radio you are using, so we would know what the blue/white wire is for The blue/white stripe remote turn on wire has a number of other names such as accessory wire, system remote control wire, etc… ... This wire is typically for power antenna or factory amplifier turn on. |

When you utilize the blue/white wire located on the radio cluster, and power on the radio, it acts as a switch, and turns the power amp on.

I'm thinking I have to tap into the blue/white wire now. It makes sense.
