Rear Brakes Question
Hey guys, I have a 2002 Edge 3.0 and need to replace my rear brakes. I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations as far as brand. The truck is used as a daily driver by my girlfriend. Completely stock. About 120,000 Miles on her. Any particular shoes ya'll have in mind, or should Advance Auto Parts down the road have a decent enough brake shoes?
Also, considering the number of miles on the dash, should I go ahead and replace the Brake Wheel Cylinders? No leaks or troubles at this point, but I'd hate for it to go while it's on the road.
Any help would be appreciated.

as for wheel cylinders. 'memba that old sayin' "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"
apply as you see fit.

I would do both the rear wheel cylinders, I had one go out on me and I blew through a red light. If you lose one rear wheel cylinder you lose all your braking power. Plus the brake oil will coat the rear drum which means that only one of the two emergency brakes is actually working so it won't stop you.

Yeah, after everyone's input I figured I'm going to do the rear shoes, drums, and wheel cylinders. Just waiting for the sun to set a bit cuz it's mighty hot out and I don't feel like sweating so that I can take the wheel off and measure the drum and order the correct parts.
I measure inside or outside diameter for this?

Heh yeah, it's been ridiculously warm lately. It's a shame, had I ordered the parts earlier this month, this would have been the perfect weekend to do the work. Aside from the brake job, I'm looking to paint the stock rims black, and leave the center cap chrome. Again, perfect weekend to have done it.
Just measured the drums. 10". Seem right for a 3.0? Gonna order everything now.
RockAuto sells their brake shoes by the pair like everyone else, right?
