braking

i was drivng home tonight and i was doin 45-50 and i had to brake real quick and my truck got like real loose under heaving braking.. anyone kno what would cause this and how to fix it?

define loose...

Well if by loose you're talking about the rearend it's all about weight transfer. More than likely your tbars are kinda "soft" so the truck nose dives when you brake hard. All the weight is transferred to the front wheels in a hard braking situation. Maybe I'm just crazy though.

my tbars are cranked.. loose being the steering was soft and the truck went side to side.. kinda felt like the rear-end was gunna slide from behinde me

i think weight transfer is the key, all weight shifted forward...i i shift to 1st in the rain at 20 mph + my rear end slides around
