bumper.

so i picked up a bumper and valance from a junkyard today.

but you can't take it off unless the tow hooks are off. and you can't really get at those.

so how do you take them off?

and for my fog light plugs they won't really seperate from the holder thats on the frame. what do i do? ha

the brackets for the bumper are to close to the tow hooks to pull it off with them still on, trust me i've tried for like 20 minutes just twisting the bumper different ways and it hits both sides everytime.

you dont take a bracket off....there are two bolts on either side that slide through the crosmember and nuts are on inside of crossmember (side facing radiator) next to the hooks. take pics and i can help tell you better. I would but my camera crapped.

shouldn't there be two on each side for the brackets, but two for each side on the back of the bumper, higher up??? just pulled my bumpers to repaint last night in the rain and it took me like 30min. all said and done. and no i don't have a garage, so the rain is a motivator to work faster...

i know that there is 3 bolts for the hooks, but its such limited space in there to get any torque on a wrench.
