Buzzing noise/dome lamp

Buzzing noise/dome lamp
I have a 2002 ranger. a problem I have has to do with what I assume is a security buzzer that sounds when the door is open, or not shut properly. in conjunction with this is the dome light. at times, with the buzzing it automatically comes on. I have found that in colder weather the buzzing is more prevalent. the dome lamp stays on after I shut the drivers door but I have found that if I lower the window and apply inward pressure on the door, it will shut off, the buzzing continues however. the buzzing can be a singular occurrence or it can be a repeated staccato of 5 tones, a pause, another 5 tones, and continuing like that for approx. 4 to 5 revolutions, very perplexing. is there a sensor and if so where? my old GMC had a little button on the door frame that actuated the dome light and a buzzer but I find none on the ford. is there something similar and if so, where? HELP, PLEASE!
