a/c delete?
a/c delete?
hello all. 3.0L Vin V 2000.
belt jumps off the ac compressor pulley after i had a problem with the heater engaging the compressor clutch and binding the pulley (causing the engine to stall, delightful). i believe my issue is that the a/c compressor pulley is misaligned.
compressor is currently unplugged so it does nothing but cause my belt to shred against it's bolts.
thinking im just going to rip the entire compressor out and run the serp belt as though it had never had an a/c comp at all. a/c is functionally useless anyway since i have windows that roll down and vastly prefer that anyway.
anyone know any problems that ripping out my a/c compressor could cause other than a sudden influx of coolness due to my being able to drive my ranger again? thanks :]
