My friend has a diesel from an earlier diesel powered Ranger,
not sure if it is the earlier N/A version used a Perkins 4.135 2.2-liter which put out about 59 hp and the later turbo version used a Mitsubishi 4D55 2.3-liter which was good for about 84 hp.

The engine is in LA.

I know this is probably a long shot, but does he still have the engine? Do you know how much he is asking? Would he consider shipping to Colorado? Lots of questions, but very interested. Thanks in advance....Clint

 

man if you were closer i would of gotten that to put in my other ranger
