Cab Mounts

I have this nasty squeak that I think I have pin pointed as a cab mount. Are they a dealer only item or is there a aftermarket company that makes better ones? Also tranny mount and engine mounts. I found nothing at Energy Suspension or Prothane. Am I stuck with stock?

Mine did this as well. Not sure about the stock mounts.

No it's stock. The reason I wan to replace it is because the bushing looks torn. It has been like that for a while but I never gave it a second thought. When I drive and hit a bump I have this nasty squeak that sounds like it has weight to it. By that I mean that it has like "hang time" when I go over a section on the freeway that goes up and down. It will squeak one way and hold when I go up and then squeak a different way when I go down. (it makes sense in my head. lol) For the longest time I thought it was my transmission mount because the shifter does move quite a bit but I actually tried to find where the squeak was coming from and I noticed that it happens when i slam the door or move the cab itself by hand. Also on the back of the can there are marks where it looks like the cab hit the bed or vice versa but I tightened the bed bolts a while back.

I had to replace both the rear cab mounts on my 94 Ranger a few years ago. I found a place on Ebay that sold new ones they make themselves. They are made out of pressed metal, but are thick as stock ones. They mounted to the same location and had the stock location holes in them for mounting.

Sorry I can't give you name or description as my Ebay history doesn't tell who I bought what from that far in the past.

Looks like I'm stuck with stock. Energy and Prothane make everything for Rangers up to 97. IFS Ranger FTL again.
