cb question

for all you guys who have the antenna mounted on your bed, where did you run the wire into the cab at? I have a whip so i just need a mount and cable, and i just got a handheld cb that the power source plugs into the cig lighter and it has a spot for an ext antenna which i think would work way better than the damn magnetic antenna my dad "hooked me up with"

I used a grommet in driver side jump seat compartment. Just poked through it and ran the coax under the floor to the dash.

drivers eh that would work perfect cause my sub box is blocking access to the pass side ... so i can run it out of there an up thru the gap between the cab and bed?

Naw, you can probably run it up through the stake pocket there to look cleaner. Just run it along the frame rail to it.

So what kind of antenna is it? I have talked to some cb gurus and the higher you can mount it the better. If it is like a magnet mount which I dont think your is, the roof is the best. I was told that the cab can sometimes screw with it alittle. Had that problem on my F150. Had to stick antennas mounted on the front corners of the bed. Then I bought the Wilson wip kind.
