CD player won't work.

My CD player has been like this for a while.
I'm getting error b269
I tried putting a cd in and it doesn't even grab it.
If anyone knows what I can do without having to get a new CD player please let me know
Thanks!!!!!!! Rangers for life!!!!

The CD6 players are junk. Clean trays & WD40 helped for a little while, but not for long. I found nothing obvious that was wrong on the inside. I gave up & bought a different Ford radio on ebay, with MP3 and AUX capability.

Or you could get a decent aftermarket one for lie 50$ off crutchfied.com. they include all the wiring adapters and such. ll you have to do is match up colors and either solder or butt connect them.

That's where I got my first head unit and all my speakers from. They've got great customer service with free lifetime tech support.

I figured If I'm replacing the CD player might as well get something I want. I was looking at the DVD in dash. Are those hard to install? I see you have one. Dewey

Mine has GPS too, but its pretty easy if you have a dremel tool. I didn't at the time and had to use a saw-zaw and a pair of pliers to open op the hole a little by getting rid of some of the excess trim. I advise Pioneer with Bluetooth. I installed a DVD with Bluetooth for a guy about a month ago in his Versa. It was the Pioneer one and it ran him like $300. I really like mine, and if you have any electrical or mechanical inclination, its pretty easy, just time consuming to get it right.

Glad I could help. I'm really in to car audio, so anything to let someone actually enjoy their music more than they can with a stock system.

Thought I'd might as well throw in my 2 cents with the rubbish stock cd players, both Fords I've got came with a skipping that quickly turned into eating cd's and weird errors. It must be common I'm assuming. But gave me a good reason to upgrade to something with an aux and usb port.
