charging problems
alright guys got a 98 ranger on saturday night in the snowstorm from heck here in mn blew my serp belt engine got hot boiled some antifreeze and made it to a safe spot and shut it down. I let it cool off then looked under the hood saw that the coolent was empty and the serp belt was shot pieces everywhere. Went to orileys got a new belt and coolant
the same night started and ran fine but soon found out the engine died. Next day get truck towed home "thanks triple A" and remove alternator take it in get it tested its done. Replace it jump the truck and still wont charge. Take battery in get it load tested done as well. Replace that and I figured were good to go. Starts right up and drive it around the block notice the battery gauge is a little low but thought it would come around. Get up this morning having to go help with some shoveling get 10 min into drive heat on and all of a sudden the rpm gauge starts fluttering again and ive just about had it. Do you guys have any suggestions of what could be the problem I really dont want to take it to the shop already in 300+ but will if I have to. Also trying to get it defrosted in the garage with a kerosean heater Thanks for any help
