Squeaky brakes
Ever since I got my ranger out of the shop a while ago for a starter and ball joint, the front brakes (I think anyway) squeak whenever I am driving, no matter what speed. However, if I touch the brake pedal at all, it goes away. I took the front left wheel and brake pads off, and they looked like this:
It looks like the rotor is pretty rusty and possibly deformed somehow, since there seems to be a sort of lip on one of the brake pads.
Do I need new pads and rotors or what?

From what I can see the pad appears worn sufficiently to possibly be allowing the wear sensor to contact the rotor. If it were my truck, I’d pull the rotors and have them turned and knock some of that rust off the edges. Put some new pads on, making sure to use some anti-squeak on the back of the pads. Clean up or replace as needed all associated hardware.
