Battery light

I have a 2007 ranger 4.0 FX4 and the battery light is on. I put on a new alternator thinking that was the problem. Light was still on and the battery was not getting charged. I had both alternators checked they were good. I replaced the battery and that did not solve the problem either. I checked the voltage to the alternator and i am only getting 9 volts. So Im not sure where to look next. The fuses are all good also. Could it be a fusible link? Does anyone have any ideas?

Yes, fusible link is a likely target for this problem.

Follow B+(larger) alternator cable back to battery/power box it will be at that end if the cable, read here:
