I now it is a dummy gauge but....and a few other issues....

I realize my oil pressure gauge is just a dummy gauge and i don't want to put in an actual gauge. But sometimes i drive the truck and the gauge sits at
3/4, other times it sits just above 1/2. I don't think anything is wrong since no oil leaks and oil level is fine. What do you think? Just need some opinions to stop my crazy mind from spinning. It is time for a an oil change so I'll do that this weekend.
I'm having one more issue that is driving me mad. Every day on my way to work the past few days I hear this buzzing or squeling noise that sounds like its coming from under my dash below my headlight switch. Noise is hard to describe it's like when you turn a light switch inyour house on but not all the way abnd you hold it. This only happens when I make a hard left turn with the brakes on a bit and holding the turn signal lever. The lever is not actually on I just hold it down to make it blink a few times. It has been raining a lot the past few days so my wipers and headlights have been on. Very weird, I'll be checking some wiring this weekend.
Anyone elses fan roars on occassion when you start your truck up. I noticed mine does once in awhile.
Sorry about the length of this but I'm slowly going mad as this truck has got to last me a long time and not much cash to spend at the moment.

The oil pressure guage should stay about the same place. Two things come to mind,
1 the guage is going bad
2 the alternator output is fluctuating.Maybe the regulator is going bad. This could be the reason for the underdash noise also.

As for the fan roar , that would be considered normal in cooler temps with a cold engine. It's the fan clutch loosening up after sitting .Many new vehicles even do it.

Thanks for the info on the fan. I thought it was normal for it to happen.

It made the noise again this morning while doing a left hand turn with the turn signal partially on. Sounds like it is coming from the steering column. I did notice when i put my 4 ways on that only the right one came on and then the left one followed a few blinks later. This occurred with the signal lights in the dash and the front flasher. My overdrive fuse was also blown, but I replaced that and it didn't blow when it happened this time. Not sure how long it was blown as I rarely turn it off.

Oil gauge was at 3/4 this morning where it usually always is and stayed there. I did take the needle off at one point when I changed my overlay. The alternator is only a few years old and there is no other electrical problems like no dimming lights while it occurs or anything like that nor does the charging gauge move, halfway all the time. Is the regulator replaceable? It is a higher output alternator that i installed. My belt does squel a bit so I wonder if the belt could be slipping and causing it. The squel does come from the alternator side of the engine. Sending unit can also be going even though I just replaced that a little while ago. This has been the first time it moved in a long time. And it has rained alot the past 4 days.
