of course. rear brake lights.

ok so running lights work. when lights are off brake lights don't light up the on off switch isn't the issue because the cab light in the back still works. fuses are fine everything else checks out. lol at this moment I'm pissed and need some advice.

you could still have bad bulbs. bulbs are double filaments.

Pull one of the bulbs and check the bulb. If it checks out good, check the wire.

Welcome to the forum

Just for future reference, include year, engine size and 2WD or 4x4, manual or automatic can also be helpful in answering questions, you never know

There are two separate wires coming out of the brake switch(3 total), one for the cab light and one for the rear lights

Depending on the year the rear light wire may run to the Multi-function switch(turn signal stalk) it disables brake light on one side if turn signal is also on on that side, on some years Brake light and turn signal share the same bulb filament.

If someone installed Trailer light wiring they may have damaged Brake light wire, if they used splicer type connectors, and it has finally broken the wire(s)
