would a cruise control system from a 95 explorer work on my 03 3.0?

Yes, the 95 Xploder CC will work. However, you'll need a 3.0 servo to throttle body cable. The 4.0 cable is different at the tb end and won't attach to the 3.0.

also how difficult is the uninstall and install?

i did a how-to on this, you can use the 4.0 servo but you need a 3.0 cable, just buy the cable new
