Different bulb question

Is there any difference in light output or wattage among the different type bulbs . . . ie is an H1 different from a 9007 from a 9005. And if any are brighter than the 9007 then would it be worthwile to fab up a conversion? (incl replacement harness and wiring) Just crossed my mind.

You need a 9007. The others don't fit. There different variations of the 9007, some have more wattage, some pretend to be HID's. In the end, there is nothing you gain by using the fancy hyped up bulbs, they are all gimicks. The Sylvania Silverstar and Xtra-Vision are widely accepted as good bulbs. Thats about it.

yeah i know the stockers are 9007's but my father aftermarket projecters take H1's, i didnt know if it would be worth while to retrofit a different bulb and housing into our ranger to have more wattage.

It probably won't be worth it trying to retofit some other bulbs just so you can have more wattage.
