Instrument cluster test.

My brother is a mechanic at a local ford dealership and he told me about this. If this is a re-post please delete, i searched and didnt find anything on this. Anyways this is pretty neat all you do is hold the trip reset for about 7 seconds with the ign. off, and start the truck while still holding the trip reset. the word TEST will appear on the odometer. then press the trip reset button to cycle through the options. it will do a full sweep of the gauges, light up all bulbs on the cluster, and give you readouts like rpm's, volts, current mph on the odometer screen, and other things that i dont understand what they mean. i am not sure what years this works on, i have a 07 and it works. just thought it was cool, if anybody has more info on this please post. thanks...heres a few pics...

Pretty cool, I tried that on my 08 ranger, I came up with a code, 9868, Now i have to find out what that code is, I had two codes, the other was 9600, I know what that is, i bought a key off ebay and programmed it, But the other one baffles me.
