Icon5 Help. Radio Display wont turn On :(

Hey, Guys. So I just got a ranger and the aftermarket radio, pioneer x66bT. The display LEDs and LCD turns on for only one second and than immediately turns off whenever I turn on/off accessories mode and whenever I turn on/off the engine. However, the radio and the buttons still work, but nothing is illuminated, so I cant see anything.

The radio uses the Pioneer 16 Pin Radio Wire Harness

My ford ranger uses the Metra 70-1771 Radio Wiring Harness

So I redid all of the wire connections and made sure all of the 11 wires are connected to their exact color(s). The only wires that aren't connected is the orange illumination wire from the Ford's Metra 70-1771 and the blue/white wire from the Pioneer Radio. Some pioneer 16 pin radio wire harness have the orange wire and some don't. There isn't an orange wire on my pioneer so i'm not sure if I need it or not.

Much help will be appreciated.

Problem is inside the radio itself, Display will have it's own power supply/driver located inside the radio, pull radio and take it to repair shop, or replace it.

There is the off chance that you have set the display dimmer down very low, press display button and see if you can change it.
Download owners manual if you don't have one

Most radios have a default reset button located on the upper left corner that a paperclip will fit the hole, give that a try. Good luck!

thanks, I just bought a new radio, and it works perfectly. Wasn't a wiring issue but an internal one.
