Directional and Hazard stopped working

Hi all, Thanks in advance for any assistance. I have 05 XLT 4x4 4 Litre. Both the directional and hazards have stopped working. At first it was intermittent with no evident cause but now the situation is permanent. Fuse and power supply is good.

Welcome to the group. So the fuse and power are good. When you say it was intermittent? What do you mean?

Have you checked to make sure all lights on the outside function? A burnt out bulb can make the stop working?

Do you still hear the clicking when you turn them on?

You also have relays that power the flashing. Or time the flash intervile.

I hope I have helped.
Jim

Welcome to the forum

Generally speaking the Multi-function switch is what fails in Rangers when turn signals and/or Hazard lights stop working
The turn signal stalk.

But turn signals and Hazard lights share the same Flasher relay, located under the drivers side dash

There are 2 fuses used, #17 and #20, I believe

Thank you both. I have plenty to check with just your questions and suggestions. I'm always hopeful for simple and stupid.
