2003 Supercab XLT leans ever so slightly to the side
I just bought a 03 super cab xlt and I notice then when you look at the truck from the front I notice it leans a little bit to the left. I though maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me so I measured from top of the fender to the floor and indeed it was off on the side that I suspected. I then measured the rails on the rear end of where the bed sits and both sides measure the same. one person told me that maybe the bed is crooked when it was put on in the factory and someone else says maybe I need some extra leafs. I've heard this is real common in pick up trucks. I'm hoping that it's not the suspension and something just needs to be adjusted. I don't notice the suspension to be rougher or different on the passenger side but then again I've only this truck for 2 days. Any thoughts?

The passenger side is LOWER. When I measure all 4 wheels (top of wheel well to ground) all are around the same (like an inch in difference) while the passenger side rear is off by 2 inches or more. its almost like the truck needs to be up higher in the rear a little. I've heard if you swap leaf springs it can solve the problem. theres no way it evens out when I get in the truck, i'm not that heavy. either way barely noticeable and nobody would notice it but myself but it's killing me. the truck should be even all the way around

[QUOTE=Fx4wannabe01;1739528]Since it's that odd corner that's off, the Ford manual calls for use of shims to correct this. Of course, this is all depending on bent frame or not but Ford has a procedure for droopy bed corners.[/QUOTE
no bent frame. this truck is practically new, a few paint chips here and there that's all. what do I shime?

if you saw it it's pretty new. I saw the carfax smart ***..... let's put it this way this 03 ranger is in way better shape than most other rangers out there. i put tints on it yesterday & she looks even sexier

Where do the shims go? Under the bed or in with the factory lift block on the suspension? Mine is slightly lower (about 5/8") on the rear passenger side too. Front is perfectly level and the truck has never been in an accident. It was worse before I changed shocks, I think one of them was sticking.

yes i'm sure all vehicles bodys aren't sitting completely level but that's one thing but it's another if it's noticible. anyways i can still visiually notice that it still has a lean to it to the right from the rear. i own another ford and i put a level on its back bumper and it's pretty much dead nuts. I know i can't have it absolutely perfect but i know i can get it so i wont notice it....... any other suggestions..... where do these spacers go?
