Dome light

Hey guys in my 2000 ranger the previous owner had put in his own dome/map light and wired it in. So I was wondering if the stock light needed to be wired in or if the screws were ground and power and how that worked? Thanks

The mounting screws do make the connections. There are plastic pieces that clip into the roof support that have the connectors molded into them. The screws that mount the light itself screw into these to both mount and make the power connection. Clear as mud, right? Hope this helps!

Yeah I get it now just wasn't sure because there were wires from the light that was in it so I thought that they might have gone to the oem light
