DOOR AJAR problem...
My DOOR AJAR light comes on when the truck is torqued a little more than normal. This just began happening a few weeks ago. I know there's a lot of problems with the light staying on and thus the dome light being on. This does not happen with mine. My problem is not a big deal, it just dings and lights up when my truck is torqued a little. But it happens when making minor, easy turns on a slanted surface, which should not be normal. Is it possible to tighten the door locks on the two rear suicide doors?...mine seem loose, but they have always seemed loose. As I said, it's no large problem, but I was wondering what could be done if anything. Would strengthening the frame help? I "use" my truck when I do use it so i'm sure some parts are/were being overstressed.

I found the problem. The rear suicide doors have a lock mechanism on both the top and bottom of the door. I took off the door panel of the drivers side to diagnose the problem. I found out that the bottom lock does not work...it doesn't stay shut, which lets the door open a decent bit, and enough to move the lock on the front door thus making the ajar light come on. I'll have to replace the latch on the bottom. Where can I get one? Autozone does not carry em. I guess junkyard, but I hate to have to go rip one out. Dealer probably wants too much.
