6 inch off road lights; where to put, pic request

Hey guys. I just picked up two 6 inch off road lights and I'm wondering where to put them? I'm thinking with behind the grill (02' FX4) because I don't have a Waag bar or anything similar. I was also wonder how you guys have yours wired up. If you have any pics please post, it's just another way to ***** your truck out anyways, lol.

behind grill or get some light tabs for right in front of the grill...behind the grill looks sleeker...what kind did you get, not sure if all lights fit behind the grille...

They are just no name 100 watters, and you can't beat extra lights. They are all stainless with a stainless wire loom, and they will fit behind the grill, so I'm open to opinions.

With no bar, behind the grill sounds great. Id say wire em into the low beams and mayb have a bypass switch so you can turn them on even when low beams are off

Mounting behind the grille youll need a slimmer style light. I really doubt a daylighter style light will fit, due to it's thickness.

Here's Mine: 2- KC Slimlites on homemade light tabs. Light tabs are a very popular option. They mount to your bumper bolts. I'll be putting on a crossbar between the two tabs and mouning a total of 4 lights here probably next week. I route all my wire through the firewall through a hole cut in the steering shaft boot......just be careful on the routeing,,,,make sure no contact with the shaft is made.

I havn't done it yet, but my switch setup for the 4 lights will incorporate 2 stock foglite switches mounted to my modded radio bezel...itll look like this(but black bezel):

Have you cut out the bezel for the switch yet? If so, how hard was it?

I like the second foglight switch. How are you guys wiring them up? Do you run them through the trucks fuse/relay box? Thanks

Not yet, I still havn't got my extra switches in the mail yet. I do have a crap bezel i'm going to play with before I do it to a nice one.

I go a different route. I add an inline fuse that takes a spade type fuse. Always use a relay, and a fuse. Whenever I get around to it....I'm going to rewire all my accesories(lights, dixie horns, etc) and have the fuses on it's own fuse block, as well as hiding the wiring and relays...like this:

wiring links involving stock switches:

There's plenty more...but those are ones i started.

just an L bracket that drops from those two holes on the backside of the bumper... not the most stable set up but they work... i think it has a 7 inch drop and 5 inch horizontal stretch
