clutch position switch bypass

clutch position switch bypass
Would anyone know how to do a clutch position switch bypass for a remote starter install on a later model ranger? I have an 07 but likely it would be similar for the last few years. It looks to me that the white pink wire going to the smart Junction box needs a ground that would normally be supplied by the clutch position switch. Would that be correct?

The remote starters for manual transmission are designed so you don’t forgot.
That's the primary difference between them and those designed for an automatic.
They require that the ebrake be on before they will work. There is also a little sequence of things you have to do before it will go into remote start mode (depending on the make and model of the starter). Like hit a toggle switch three times-pull the ebake up-take the key out...Anyway because of this sequence it's just about impossible to forget..Also if the truck door is opened again, before it remote starts, it will deactivate the remote starter..
I am very forgetful myself. I am even going to mod the truck so the lights work off of accessory power rather than constant power because I leave my headlights on all the time. I have owned manual starters for years and have no fear of that.

I absolutely understand that point of view. Besides that safety issue , remote starting can waste gas and some claim shorten engine life. However I live in the Adirondack area of new york where snow and ice can accumulate fast. One near by town got 88 inches of snow in one day. It helps to clear ice from the windshield before driving so it is well worth the risk for me..
