I'll get pics of the ballast mounting tomarrow afternoon...or...well this afternoon. I mounted my balast holders through one of the existing bolts for the wiring harness, on each side of the radiator. Hard to describe......i'll post pics.

For that price, they are not going to be HID Hi/Low. For them to be HID for both Hi and Low, there needs to be a servo that actually moves the bulb. Most of the cheaper kits are HID for low and halogen for Hi (2 seperate bulbs).

I mounted mine near the radiator, on the left & right there are good mounting spots, ford used a lil bracket to hold the wires thru and it is bolted in, just remove that screw and slid the ballast on and tighten it back up... check my thread, I took pictures of the mounting...

*EDIT* mounted mine just like FX4...

You get a "hi/lo" kit....often advertised as bi-xenon. Be aware, some kits are HID lo/halogen high, full HID but the actual bulb clicks up and down....you want to stay away from those.

The good kits are the ones that have a solenoid deal that actually wraps around the bulb and allows use for hi and low beams.

07sport..... would it be possible for you to post pics of the actual bulb for us so we can see what one the hi/lo solenoid bulbslook like???

yea, I can get some tonight, you'd be suprised how loud they are when they swap from hi-to-low... sounds like those door popper kits for shaved doors... so far since I've put them in, I've been getting gas, and people flag me down to ask where I got them... the only problem I can see is if people keep putting them in the non-round reflector housings... :-( I'm still thinking that this summer I'm gonna do a retro to projectors...

Can you elaborate on this? I see some kits that are advertised as HID HI/LOW. What makes the solenoid wrapped ones better? How can you tell if it is solenoid wrapped?

Have a link to a solenoid wrapped HI/LOW one on ebay?
