I thought you use the 9145/H10 one. Thats what my truck takes anyways. I have the square fog lights. Also, what does the "TELESCOPIC" mean in the kit?

Just got mine put on, and these things are great, only prob. is that I wired them backwards, so I have to leave my bights on all the time, but thats no big deal. I'll fix it one day.

I just hooked the positive for the hids up to the wrong wire on the factory connector, I just need to switch them. And I remember you being worried about glare, I drove my moms car and she drove mine, and there wasnt any at all. But, I did angle my headlights down a little.

And with color I got 6000k and from in the truck, they are white, they have almost no blue tint.

Dang, if I do this, I'll have to disconnect the wig-wags from my high beams and only use the off-road lights on the flasher.

^^NO CHANCE!!! Hids run cooler by about 25 degrees or so. Captain Obvious aka Stephen Fitts has pictures to prove this posted on this site...it compairs his hids vs. regular halogen with a temperature gun.

Yea, but that bulbs is a seldomly avaliable bulb, silverstar JUST came out with the 9145. Hense the reason most of us run 9005 in our fogs. It's a little wiggle but they fit fine. There might possibly be a hid bulb out there that's 9145, but i have never personally looked. I know 9005 hids are avalible.

Pretty much all the kits are plug and play.....but some kits, imo, the nice ones, come with a relay harness to help protect the stock harness. Usually includes extra grounds that go to the chassis/body instead of just using the existing ground in the harness for the stock bulbs. I prefer to have an added protection.

The plug and play kits are super easy.........stock plug pigtail to ballast, ballast to hid bulb, hid bulb to housing. done.

Welcome to the Dark side...

I'll go ahead and say, I've had mine on since December, and no trouble from LEO's... I agree with what one of my frinds said, you get away with them b/c your truck is stock... if you had a loud exhaust and rims chances are you'd get pulled over... I feel like HID's make this truck so much better, feel like I have additional road athority, haha... now I gotta save up some dough to get a nice tonneau cover, before May (going to FL for a week)

No no no. I was a blue/purple/green poser ricer light hater, and I still am.

I'm going to have to wire the high beams in before my wig-wag flasher so they don't go up in smoke next time i go to a fire call. I have a feeling these might be so bright, i can put the off-road lights on a separate switch rather than having them run with the high beams. We'll see. I hope they show up by this weekend!

I just got my set from the link i posted several times. It's got everything you need....ballasts, hi/lo conrollerharness, bulbs, ballast holders w/ hardware.

Here's the seller's store: http://stores.ebay.com/wholesale-hid

Andhere's the actual listing....although all their listings for hi/lo SAY hi/lo: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HID-B...mZ170196434659

I am learning more and more.......9007 telescopic ones are the ones that the bulb itself moves...clicks up and down. I've been told that these ones that the bulbs click up and down are less reliable.....but they work just fine and will post when they go out, if they go out. The ones I've been told are the best ones, are the ones that have a rotating "cover" that rotates around the bulb and redirects light. But I'll keep on truckin'.

I have also installed 6000k Hid's in my '92 Subaru...and boy oh boy, I almost kinda wish I went with 6000k on the ranger...i'm totally diggin the color.
