if you stashed a key in the dash wouldnt that mean that PATS is has been overridden and you can start the truck with any key or tool that will turn the ignition?

 

If you guys dont want to lose a key dei sells a keyless module its more expensive, alot more expensive than getting a new key made from the dealer

 

This is the bypass module that I was talking about. You can score one for about $30 on ebay. It will work for 98 - 00 rangers.





If you have a 01 - 05 ranger, then you will need a 556U. Which means that on these years you will loose a key. You can score this one on ebay for about $25. Here is a pic of it.

I was looking at ebay for the bypass module, but I only saw one that says 555F, but the pic looks like a relay, not a little box like your pic does, here is a link:

Would this work with a compustar 2wss?? And a ranger 2000?? thanks a lot
