Electrical issue

My dome light aren't working and my wipers would stop 30seconds after you take it off which are stopping in the middles of the windscreeen .The dealer said I have to change my BCM. I drive a 2015 Ford ranger t6 4x2 2.2l .what do you all pupose as the problem

We are in North America so never got the Ranger T6 models here and they are a completely different truck, larger trucks

We got the latest version of Body computers(BCM) in 2004 Rangers here, ours were called the Smart Junction box, before that the GEM

Yes, pretty much all cab switch functions go thru the BCM
When you turn on the wiper switch it sends a signal to the BCM, the BCM then turns on the wiper motor, so there is no direct connection between wiper switch and wiper motor
Same for dome light, dome light is connected to BCM, not the door switches or dash switch.

A. I’m hoping you checked the bulb
B. A scan tool should give some type codes. If no codes you could at least try some bi- directional commands to confirm the bcm is bad
