issues with L1224R's

i just hooked up my L1224R's in my 06, and i got the usual hyper-flash issue, and i also got when the lights were on both rear brake lights would flash.so i went, and got the electronic flasher from autozone to correctit, and while it has corrected the both rear brake lights flashing with the turn signals, but now it still hyper-flashes... am i missing something here? i have pulled the turn signal fuse (while this had corrected this in my 01 everytime i had the trailer hoooked up)

I bought my EP27 from VLEDs, It connected perfect and no problems for a few years. Possibly you have the wrong flasher? I suggest trying to see if the stock bulbs work right with this flasher then you can know if it is related to the LEDs or not. Many people have done this mod with no problems so I am at a loss here.

i will try the stockers to see if it corrects the issue, the part number i got from autozone was a FL27 which replaces the EP27 flasher

I would bet that the FL27 is causing the problems. If it was me I would look around a few local part stores and see if any of them have anymore EP27s.

I did a lil looking and have found that the people that use the FL27 flasher and have LEDs still blink fast. Now I did find one person on some Dodge Dakota forums and he has incadesent bulbs and the FL27 worked for him.
Added some LED's to the truck today - Page 3 - F150online Forums

Or get one right now locally from autozone...for cheaper.

Rob...everything I was gonna say has been covered. If wired up correctly and using the LED flasher for whatever your truck takes(idk for sure if 04+ is EP27 or not), there shouldn't be any issues.

Yes the FL27 worked for incandescent bulbs but not for LED's.

i'm stumped.

Throw incandescants in on both sides. see if it's functioning normally. I know the chances of this are slim: Wonder if that thing having a salvage/rebuilt title might have something to do with having weird *** wiring back there?

I thought of this thread yesterday. I saw an older ranger (the pre-red-turnsignals kind) and he had a flashing 3rd brake light that would flash like a turnsignal when he hit his brakes, even though the tail lights would stay solid fine.
