Hello I have a 1998 Ford Ranger XLT 3.0 automatic I also have a 2002 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0 5 speed standard my 98 has a very good body how much trouble is it to change the 3.0 automatic to the 4.0 standard. I would appreciate any help or suggestions. thank you

 

i think you will run into some wiring issues because of the years differences if your gonna go through that much trouble to swap engines id go with a 5.0l out of an explorer its almost plug and play, assuming you get the correct year but there is some mods to the wiring good luck
