Engine swap
Good afternoon guys im seeking help as i am new to this group, i have a 2001 ford ranger 4x4 with a 4.0L and my engine has bad rings so i was planning on swapping it out with another engine but the engine is off of a 2007 mustang will that engine fit the transmission?

2007 Mustang base model, came with 4.0l SOHC V6 engine, which uses the same block and heads as your 2001 Rangers 4.0l SOHC
So yes it will bolt to the Ranger transmission
The intakes will have to be swapped, and oil pans

2001–2012 Ford Ranger
2001–2010 Mazda B4000
1997–2010 Ford Explorer/Mercury Mountaineer
2005–2010 Ford Mustang
