Evap System Small Hose Routing

1990 Ranger 4.0L XLT
==============
This year I will be up for a smog check so I thought I'd check a little more closely under my hood before the test.

I noticed in the below photo a small host coming off a junction originating from a canister with a dome-shaped end.

Do you have any idea where the end of this sucker should attach?

Thank you in advance.
