KC light instal questions

ive been planning on installing some KC lights on my roof rack for a few days now. plan is just mount them to the rack bar up front. ive got an extra rack bar that ill use when i throw the rack on top so im not worried about that. what i am looking for is suggestions on a quick disconnect for the wiring. i want the lights to plug into a disconnect on the roof to make taking the light bar on and off easy. it has to be weather proof and able to hold up to the draw of 4 KC daylighters. any suggestion?

just get some sealed bullet quick connects, as long as you get the right gauge theyll handle the power, and throw some dielectic grease in them also to help keep them sealed even better

The easiest way would just to get 2 different trailer wire kits from walmart or something.

if you use the KC wiring kit, it has quick connects at the lights

why not do this:

take some 12awg extension cord - 3 wire. and cut little sections of the sheathing off like, an inch long in a 40inch piece, and cut out like 1inch of sheathing for each light, and tie the lights directly into that, then tape up the explosed part.... then, put an exterior plug on the end, and then run the female end to it, and just plug it in that way. This way everything is in 1 neat weather proof package. and If you dont go ultra cheap, you can get a true rubber extension cord wich will be easier to work with and last FOREVER.

thats what I would do.
