Power Door lock short help
2002 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0L ext cab.
The power door locks have been attacked by a gremlin. They continue to unlock randomly which is not only quite annoying, but also means anyone could break in without breaking in.
I have taken off both the switches on the doors and eliminated them as the culprits as it still continues to unlock randomly. I need to see what troubleshooting I should look at next. I have cleaned up a couple of the ground wires in the engine compartment but I knew that wasn't the issue or the appropriate ground wires. For now I just took out the fuse but it is also the fuse that controls the cruise control which I miss greatly.
So couple questions:
Does anyone know where the ground wires are that would affect this circuit?
What other troubleshooting would you take to try and locate the short? Thanks.
