failed painted headlights.
i painted my headlights last weekend and for some reason moisture stays in the assembly. I'm guessing i didnt seal it good enough, but my dad thinks that there needs to be holes for the assembly to air out. What do you guys think?

take them off the truck, pour some alcohol in them, let it evaporate, the reinstall them on the truck, if they fog up again, take them apart and reseal them. no need for holes

There was no holes from the factory so why would holes help now? Do like was said above or just lay them out in the sun or something and let them air out and get the moisture out.

That sucks! I just painted the headlights on my wife's new 08 Subaru. It's supposed to rain tomorrow and I'm hoping like hell that they don't leak! lol

there is a hole in them from the factory. its in the blinker light at the bottom. air needs to get in and out of them at a certain point to make it not fog. it has a special little cap on it. It might have gotten trapped in the headlight when you sealed it and cant get out now. Take your bulb out and blow in it with some air and them pop them back on and see if it works better. or just wait it out, others had the same problem and it burns off after a while.
