Fan clutch or Electric fan....???

Hi. My fan clutch is dying i remove it and the plastic is cracked in many areas so i'm thinking to change to an electric fan
My question is :did you think if changing to an electric fan will hurt my pickUp?
Many friends are telling me that is not correct! they said that a fan clucth is more powerful and will keep my pickUp more cooler.
so what are your opinions?
My pickUp is Ford Ranger Splash 1995. :grouphug:

I have a electric fan on my BII. It works great. Another great feature is you can turn it off for water crossings so you don't sling water all over the motor.

its run off a temp switch correct though ?

jorlee 03-12-2006 09:01 PM

Yes, most are thermostatically controlled. Some have been modified for full control of the fan as they wish.

Pinecone 03-12-2006 09:03 PM

I had the proform fan on my Ranger, it worked well.

I have the Jusne's fan kit on my F-150.

2750 CFM means that is moves that much air cubic feet per minute.

The fan controller has a adjustable POT(potentiometer) on it, you turn it clockwise or conterclockwise to adjust the temperature when the fan comes on.

i have the jusnes one and i just adjusted the POT all the way up (hottest setting) and i have an aftermarket temp guage it never passed 210* so far.

im happy with mine
