What to do with the 3rd Brake Light???
i have an all red 3rd brake light over the rear sliding window. the bulb blew a while ago in it, and i finally just got around to replacing it last week. when i popped the thing off, i noticed there are 3 socket holes in the light, but i'm only using the center one. i figure the lense housing is the same they use for the other lights that have the clear ends on them for backing up, or whatever..
anyways, i went and ordered 2 more socket connectors from Ford so i could wire in 2 more lights, but that's where i have my question!
should i just wire in the 2 new lights and use them as brake lights (like the one in the center is already doing).... or should i wire them up as turn signals?
or is there something else i could do with the 2 additional lights i'm going to have.
i was thinking of doing turn signals, but thought that it may look wierd when someone is far behind me and all they see is, for example, my left turn signal at the tail light, but then see something blinking in my 3rd brake light (from far away i think it may not be viewable that the left or right side is blinking.. instead.. just the 3rd brake light will look like it's blinking.)

honistly i played around with this when i had my all red one. do an all brake. the turns there to close the the center of the truck its hard to see which side is blinking to a stupid person. plus i set it up once to do all brake just to see it looks good... cant show you now because i have the LED one on

i guess i'll be doing an all brake light!
another question just came to mind though....
when we have our 4 ways on.... the 3rd doesn't blink does it??? i think i want to find a way to wire them so that they'll flash with the hazards, but not with the turn signals.. i don't know if it'll be possible though

The center bulb of the CHMSL remains brake only as before and the outers are turn/brake. All three light up for brakes (except when one of the outers is flashing, of course). It works great. Since the OE rear tails are flashing at the same time, there can be no confusion about the signal direction.
The two outer bulbs flash with the emergency flashers.
