i had a 160w gsxr low beam but got talked out of keeping them, went to a 55w fog bulb. when i went to do the fog light mod the wires were not there i guess due to the fact it is a 06. i dont know it was raining so i might try again tomorrow.

The 06 wires are the same as the 04. its in the smart junction box in the passanger side kick panel. I'll find the how to in a second.

Anybody try putting 80 or 100 watt bulbs in the fog lights, will it fry or melt the wiring harness or housings?

Don't do it, way to much load for stock wiring.

Ok so i looked at those bulbs i had in they are PIAAS, so they only pull 60w worth of power but it looks like 160w at the bulb. they do this for motorcycles for the same reason as cars. i run a piaa in my bike and never had a problem. so any one thats wants to look into this they are HB3s or HB4s it is a gsxr headlight bulb, same as our fog lights.
